Community Garden Mural Project

This was an amazing opportunity for community based arts to spring into action. Collaborating with the Franklinton Avondale Garden Non-Profit, 7 artists came into the garden to create murals that will line the fences as the community works and learns about growing their own food.  Although the 2 Saturdays were sweltering hot, the people who work in the garden, musicians, neighbors, kids, and the other artists involved made it all very worth while! I was fortunate enough to have a couple neighborhood artists come by to collaborate with me on my 8'X4' mural.  The project was funded through The Greater Columbus Arts Council, and put together through Patrick with The Franklinton Gardens, and Sarah Weinstock with 400 Rich Street Warehouse.  Together we make a beautiful life.  The mural reflects my ideas about people collaborating and creating their own realities, communities, and ultimately our world.  This is the vibe that was present in the garden, and my inspiration to bring this mural to life.  I am honored to have been a part of this project, and look forward to more!
